In a motor or like horn the diaphragm 13 is secured to an annular flange 12 on the housing 10 by a sprayed coating 16 of thermoplastic material. Co - operating cavities such as apertures 17 or semi-circular notches (Figs. 3 and 4, not shown) provided in the flange and around the perimeter of the diaphragm are filled with the thermoplastic material and strengthen the bond.
