PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce energy consumption in an exhaust gas use type coating apparatus. SOLUTION: The coating apparatus including a wet purifier 9a for bring exhaust air Ea' from a first coating chamber 2 into gas-liquid contact with cleaning water W to clean the exhaust air and second gas feeder 16, 17a, 17b for supplying cleaned exhaust air Ea' by the wet purifier 9a to a second coating chamber 4 as air for ventilation is provided with a cooling dehumidifier 20 for cooling and dehumidifying the cleaned exhaust air Ea' dehumidified by the wet purifier 9a by the heat absorption function of a heat pump 18 and a re-heater 21 for heating to reheat the cleaned exhaust air Ea' dehumidified by the cooling dehumidifier 20 by the heat releasing function of the heat pump 18 which follows the air cooling in the cooling dehumidifier 20 and is constituted so that the cleaned exhaust air Ea" (Sb) having controlled temperature and humidification by the dehumidification and reheating is supplied to the second coating chamber 4 by second air supply means 16, 17a, 17b.
