<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of blocking light in a column spacer region without reducing the aperture ratio. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is in a normally black mode where a screen is black when a voltage difference between a first insulating substrate and a second insulating substrate is zero, wherein a column spacer is positioned between the first insulating substrate and the second insulating substrate, and the column spacer is brought into contact with a common voltage conductor pattern, formed on the first insulating substrate and with a common electrode formed on the second insulating substrate, and the voltage difference between the common voltage conductor pattern and the common electrode becomes zero. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
