PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems: a container becomes large in size in order to secure a large air storage space, and upon initial filling, efficiency in replacing a filling liquid with a liquid is reduced, thereby an amount of useless waste liquid is increased. SOLUTION: The liquid storage container includes: a storage chamber 103 for storing the ink supplied from outside; a first liquid discharge path 113 for supplying the ink from the storage chamber 103 to a recording head 14; and a second liquid discharge path 114 for supplying the ink from the storage chamber 103 to the recording head 14. The entrance 114a of the second liquid discharge path 114 is positioned lower in height than the entrance 113a of the first liquid discharge path 113, and a space located upper than the second liquid discharge path 114 in the storage chamber 103 functions as the air storage space for storing the air entering from outside.
