PHOSPHOLIPID MIXTURE AND BICELLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prepared bicelle so as to expand a magnetic field orientation range (a condition for magnetic field orientational bicelle to be formed) of a disk-shaped micelle aggregate (bicelle) to be formed from a melt of long-chain phospholipid and short-chain phospholipid in a specific temperature range. SOLUTION: The magnetic field orientation range forming the disk-shaped micelle aggregate (bicelle) is expanded by adding a specifically structured phospholipid having an inositol skeleton at a polar head as an orientation enhancing agent to a composition for the bicelle consisting of a long-chain phospholipid and a short-chain phospholipid.
