PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for beam-forming in an OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple) wireless system are provided to efficiently facilitate simultaneous beam-forming by using a newly-suggested codebook. CONSTITUTION: A first base station(102) provides wireless broadband access to a first plural mobile stations within a coverage area(120) of the firsst base station. The first plurality of mobile stations includes a first mobile station(111), which may be located in an SB(Small Business), a second mobile station(112), which may be located in an enterprise, a third mobile station(113), which may be located in a WiFi hotspot, a fourth mobile station(114), which may be located in a first residence, a fifth mobile station(115), which may be located in a second residence, and a sixth mobile station(116), which may be a mobile device, such as a cell phone, a wireless laptop, a wireless PDA, or the like. A second base station(103) provides wireless broadband access to a second plurality of mobile stations within coverage area(125) of the second base station. The second mobile stations includes a seventh mobile station and an eight mobile station. |
