PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator system that reduces construction manhours by reducing the wiring between an elevator control unit and hall apparatuses and that does not deteriorate service to elevator users. SOLUTION: This elevator system includes the elevator control unit 1 for controlling the whole elevator system, the hall apparatuses 7a-7d arranged in elevator halls 12a-12d and composed of a landing car call registering button, an indicator and a lantern, a signal converting part 8 for transmitting a control signal and state data between the elevator control unit 1 and the hall apparatuses 7a-7d through power line carrying communication, the power line carrying communication I/F30 and power line carrying communication relays I/F31a-31b.
