<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation sensor driving mechanism for an air conditioner not causing deviation in a sensing area of a radiation sensor, capable of accurately detecting a floor temperature, and having a favorable design property wherein the radiation sensor is faced toward the front when stopped facing the front. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner includes a sensor holder 3 disposed in an indoor unit 1, holding the radiation sensor 5, and capable of rotating to the right and left; a fan like connecting member 15 disposed in the indoor unit and rotatively driven to the right and left by a drive motor 14; six protrusions 11 radially projected on an one end side circumference of the sensor holder wherein two make a pair to comprise three pairs of the center, the right and the left; and three pins 16 fitting between the two protrusions of the center pair, the two protrusions of the left pair, and the two protrusions of the right pair in response to a rotating angle.
