PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for reducing the afterimage of a display device. SOLUTION: When setting of luminance data of a video A on all cells 70 is completed, a frame switching control driver 15 applies a frame switching signal FS to a frame switching line FL. In a writing change-over switch 50, first and third terminals 51 and 53 are connected, and second and fourth terminals 52 and 54 are connected, by the frame switching signal FS. Specifically, a transistor 25 for data setting and a first charge holding element 31 are connected, and a liquid crystal electrode 20 and a second charge holding element 32 are connected. Since the frame switching signal FS are applied to all the cells 70 in the same timing, the luminance data set to the second charge holding element 32 are reflected to the liquid crystal electrode 20 in the same timing.
