PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently assure strength of a case without lengthening the entire length of the case itself even when the entire length of a display device becomes long. SOLUTION: This display device holding apparatus is provided with: a first case; the display device provided in the first case; a connection part which has a rib which extends toward the thickness direction of the first case, and turnably connects a second case to the first case; and sheet metal which is arranged in the first case, has a first part approximately parallel to the thickness direction of the first case, a second part which extends in the longitudinal direction of the first case from the first part, and a third part which extends approximately parallel to the first part from the second part, and is integrally molded with a part of the first case, wherein the rib is engaged into a groove provided on the first case between the first part and the third part in the longitudinal direction of the first case, and at least a part of the connection part and the sheet metal holds the display device.
