PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching machine which can switch devices without applying the load onto a server. SOLUTION: When a USB (Universal Serial Bus) device becomes an error state to receive the announcement of an error from the USB device or when an overcurrent occurs in a connection route with the USB device to receive the announcement of overcurrent occurrence from the USB device, a USB HC circuit 2 does not notify a CPU 6 of the received announcement of the error state or overcurrent occurrence, thereby to prevent the error state or the overcurrent occurrence from being transmitted to a selected USB device emulation circuit 3 and a server connected to the selected USB device emulation circuit 3. A plurality of USB device emulation circuits 3 keep connection states to the server connected to the respective ports even when the USB device is removed from the USB HC circuit 2.
