PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition improving wet grip performance, excellent abrasion resistance and crack growth resistance without degrading other performances such as rolling resistance of tires, and to provide a tire using the composition. SOLUTION: The rubber composition is obtained by compounding 0.5 pt.mass or more and less than 100 pts.mass of a hydrogenated resin in 100 pts.mass of a rubber component that contains a conjugate diene polymer having 75% or more of cis-1,4-bonds, by 10 mass% or more and 45 mass% or less, and other diene rubber.
