PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter apparatus which combines a heavy shutter and a sheet shutter, and which enhances safety. SOLUTION: This shutter apparatus 1, which combines the heavy shutter 10 and the sheet shutter 30, includes a heavy shutter control device 26 which controls opening/closing of a shutter curtain 15 of the heavy shutter, a sheet shutter control device 45 which controls opening/closing of a shutter curtain 35 of the sheet shutter, and operation means 27 and 46 for operating the opening/closing of the heavy shutter and the sheet shutter. The heavy shutter control device is formed to be capable of performing control for starting the closing of the heavy shutter after the completion of the closing of the sheet shutter, by receiving a signal when the signal of the closing of the heavy shutter is transmitted from the operation means, and giving an order of the closing of the sheet shutter to the sheet shutter control device.
