PURPOSE: An igniter for a torch is provided to easily ignite a torch for an oxygen welding machine or cutting machine because the height of a high-frequency generator can be regulated on a support stand. CONSTITUTION: An igniter for a torch comprises a pair of plugs(110), a top plate(120), a bottom plate(140), a high-frequency generator(150), and a support stand(160). The plugs are supported on the top plate and generate high-frequency sparks. The bottom plate is installed under the top plate as being separated by spacers(130). The high-frequency generator is fixed to the bottom of the top plate and generates high-frequency wave. The support stand supports the top and bottom plates to adjust the height of the top and bottom plate in which the high-frequency generator is installed.
