PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle information providing apparatus that properly notifies a driver of a risk without giving discomfort to the driver. SOLUTION: A surrounding object position detection means 101 detects a position of an object existing around a vehicle. A vehicle state detection means 102 detects a vehicle state comprising at least either one of the velocity and the acceleration of the vehicle, and a running direction of the vehicle. An operation means 105 calculates an advancing direction of the object based on a time-series change in the position of the object and the vehicle state. A risk prediction means 110 predicts a possible risk around the vehicle based on the advancing direction of the object and the vehicle state.
