PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester composition suitable for application as a film with excellent hydrolysis resistance and mechanical characteristics over a long term. SOLUTION: The polyester resin composition includes 20 eq/t or less of a carboxylic acid terminal group, 1.3 to 3.0 mol/ton of alkali metal phosphate, and phosphoric acid of an amount 0.4 to 1.5 times that of the alkali metal phosphate in the molar ratio.
