PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive polymaleimide-based composition using an imidazole-based polymerization accelerator having extremely high catalyst activity and reducing the blending amount thereof. SOLUTION: The polymaleimide-based composition comprises (A); a polymaleimide compound, (B); a liquid aromatic reactive diluent, and (C); imidazoles represented by Formula (X): (wherein R(2) and R(4) are each independently a methyl group or a hydrogen atom; and R(1) and R(5) are each independently a hydrogen atom or an arbitary substituent), wherein the content of the component (C) is 0.001 pt.wt. or more and 1 pt.wt. or less, based on 100 pts.wt. of the total of the component (A) and the component (B).
