PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker, which is capable of making a situation where a lid member will not open recognizable in a case where pressure reduction means functions. SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes a body equipped with a pot, the pressure reduction means to reduce the pressure in the pot to less than atmospheric pressure, the lid member 31 that is openable/closable to cover the body, and an LED 142 which operates as the pressure reduction means functions. In this case, when the LED 142 is operating as a cover opening button 46 is to be pushed, it is recognizable that the pressure reduction action is being performed, and that the lid member 31 does not open immediately. Such operation as to forcedly push the lid opening button 46, or push the lid opening button 46 repeatedly can thus be reduced, and performance deterioration of the lid opening button 46, or the rice cooker, is thus alleviated.
