GROOVE OF WELDED PLACE OF ROLLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a groove of a welded place of a roller which prevents intrusion of foreign matters such as chips generated in cutting work of the roller into the groove of a root part and consequently prevents the foreign matters adversely affecting a product when used. SOLUTION: In the groove (3) of a welded place between a male side (1) and a female side (2) of the roller (10), the groove (4) of the root part is provided with a region (5) extending in the roller radius direction and a region (6) extending in the roller shaft direction, and the region (6) extending in the roller shaft direction in the groove (4) of the root part is continuous with a hollow part (10E) inside the roller.
