PURPOSE: A method for applying cooling water to a dust collector of an electric furnace and an apparatus thereof are provided to maintain the uniform supply of cooling water to a dust collector of an electric furnace. CONSTITUTION: A method for applying cooling water to a dust collector of an electric furnace comprises the following steps. The quantity of cooling water provided to a dust collector of an electric furnace is measured. A sensor installed inside a water supply pipe measures the amount of the cooling water supplied per unit time. The lack of the cooling water is determined by comparison between the measured amount of cooling water and the preset amount of the cooling water. In case of the lack of the cooling water, the cooling water to be supplied to other equipment is supplied to the dust collector through a connection pipe between the dust collector and other equipment. |
