<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling an inverter which can efficiently level the dispersion among individual switching elements concerning the conduction loss generated in each switching element. <P>SOLUTION: One of three switching legs 10u, 10v, and 10w is made a pause phase in a predetermined period, and the switching states of a pair of switching elements that the one has are paused, and the switching states of a pair of switching elements that the other two have are switched exclusively to each other. A pause phase selector 33 obtains a current which flows in each of switching legs 10u, 10v, and 10w. The pause phase is one of the switching legs excluding a switching leg, where a current becomes maximum, besides being either of two switching legs that can be a pause phase, corresponding to voltages to be output from three output ends Pu, Pv, and Pw. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
