PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically improve the fun of a game machine, such as a Pachinko machine, which includes a display device capable of variably displaying symbols associated with games. SOLUTION: The game board 2 of the Pachinko machine 1 has an operation opening 3 and a big winning port 4 and a display device 13 equipped with a display part 13a is built in the central part of the game board 2. A plurality of symbol trains are displayed on the display part 13a and the symbol train consists of a plurality of kinds of symbols. The display device 13 can display completed symbols by superposing separate symbols which are controlled and displayed by a plurality of layers. Furthermore, for dividing and displaying the background symbols among the symbols into several ones, the layer concerning the background symbols among the layers consists of a plurality of layers corresponding to the background symbols plurally divided and at least one background symbol is controlled and variably displayed at the speed different from other background symbols.
