PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively constitute an optical disk apparatus without mounting a sensor for generating an FG signal to a spindle motor and to simultaneously make rotation control of the spindle motor without restricting a medium. SOLUTION: The optical disk apparatus is equipped with: the spindle motor 102 which rotates an optical disk 101; an optical pickup part 103 which irradiates the optical disk with laser light and detects reflected light; a sled motor 104 which moves the optical pickup part; a servo control part 100 which executes various kinds of servo control on the basis of reflected light detected from the optical pickup part and generates each servo control signal therefor; and a driver part 111 which outputs a signal for driving the spindle motor, the optical pickup part, and the sled motor according to the servo control signal.
