PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt fixing device in which separation performance is improved by reducing the radius of curvature of a separating part, and self-separation, that is, self-stripping of a recording sheet after a single-face or double-face fixing can be carried out without application of oil or use of a separating means such as separation pawls and a separation guide plate. SOLUTION: The belt fixing device includes a fixing roller 104, a heating roller 106, a fixing belt 103 stretched over both rollers, and a pressurizing roller 105 in contact with the outer circumference face of the belt 103 to form a nip with the fixing belt 103. The device also includes a fixing member 108 having an exit separation face shaped into a large curvature, disposed inside the fixing belt 103 at a position corresponding to the exit separation part of the nip formed by the fixing roller 104 and the pressurizing roller 106 via the fixing belt 103.
