PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a conveying roller having high circularity and restricting a warp. SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing a conveying roller includes: a groove machining process for forming irregularity on a lower surface side of a rectangular plate; a bending process for forming a conveying roller body 71 by bending the rectangular plate so that a pair of opposite ends 74 and 75 of the rectangular plate come close to each other or abut on each other, arranging the lower surface side thereof outside; and a centerless polishing process for leveling the irregularity by polishing the outer peripheral surface of the conveying roller body 71.
