PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder of paintings and calligraphic works or the like which can simply carry the paintings and calligraphic works or the like in a state that they are rolled by a flexible sheet. SOLUTION: In the holder of the paintings and calligraphic works or the like, the paintings and calligraphic works or the like are opened to an interior surface of a flexible sheet 11, and is made to be inside, and then the sheet 11 is rolled in a cylinder shape to form a cylinder winding 23. The cylinder winding 23 is bound by binding band 12. In the holder, a slit 21 for locking is formed at a part along the winding end-side end edge 24b of the sheet 11, a handle 19 of a bag or the like is inserted into the slit 21 for locking, and the bag or the like is carried in a state that the cylinder winding 23 is locked to handle 19.
