<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-voltage driver capable of materializing a soft start for a piezoelectric element. <P>SOLUTION: The high-voltage driver includes a boosting converter, a pulse-width modulator 35 to control the boosting converter, and a timer to control the pulse-width modulator 35. The timer such as a digital counter and the like makes the pulse-width modulator 35 generate a narrow pulse until a final period comes or unless the final period comes.
