<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IP measuring apparatus that facilitates deciding the normality of layer 2 networks by a maintainer at a site. <P>SOLUTION: The IP measuring apparatus includes: a passage confirming means confirming a passage for the layer 2 networks by using a link-trace function standardized as an Ethernet OAM function; and a display device 16 for displaying the results of the decision of a passage confirmation by the passage confirming means. The passage confirming means decides whether the passage between two bases using bases connecting the IP measuring apparatus 10 as start ends coincides with a normal passage between the two bases. The passage confirming means displays the results of the decision on the display device 19 so as to be able to discriminate the case when both completely coincide and a communication between the two bases is superior, the case when both only coincide in intermediate parts but the communication between the two bases is superior and the case when both only coincide in the intermediate parts and the communication between the two bases is not superior. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
