PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a stator of a rotating electric machine which makes clearer a boundary between magnetic poles even if a skew structure is employed, and can improve an effect for reducing cogging torque. SOLUTION: Ring magnets 12 of the stator 10 have such forms as to constitute the skew structure by laminating a plurality of magnetic poles 12n, 12s of magnet members 12x so that they are displaced from each other, and a positioning recess 12b used for displaceable arrangement with respect to a jig 20 side is formed at each magnet member 12x. When manufacturing the stator 10, the individual magnet members 12x are formed, and the magnet members 12x are laminated one by one so that the magnetic poles 12n, 12s are displaced with respect to the jig 20 in one circumferential direction at each prescribed angle. Then, yoke housings 11 are externally fit to the plurality of arranged magnet members 12x along the axial direction, and the magnet members 12x are fixed to internal peripheral faces of the yoke housings 11 as the ring magnets 12.
