PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a conveying roller restricting deterioration of conveying characteristics. SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing a conveying roller for conveying a recording medium includes: a first process for forming a nearly cylindrical cylinder member 16 by bending a plate material; and a second process for correcting an axial bend of the cylinder member 16 occurring in the first process by applying bending load to a predetermined position of the formed cylindrical member 16.
