The embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, apparatus and system for configuring and querying a Serving Gateway (SGW), wherein the implementation of the method for configuring SGW includes: obtaining the information of a Tracking Area (TA) and the SGW corresponding to said TA; configuring the correspondence relationship between the SGW and mask-processed Tracking Area Identity (TAI) of the TA; wherein, the TAIs corresponding to the same SGW are same after the mask processing; sending the correspondence relationship between the SGW and the mask-processed TAI to a Domain Name System (DNS) server; sending the rules of the mask processing to the Mobility Management Entity (MME) or DNS server.
