<p>The patent "PROCEDURE AND CONSTRUCTIVE SOLUTION FOR TWIN BLADES USED IN LARGE DIAMETER WIND TURBINES" has applications in the power generation area. The scope of the patent is to allow manufacturing blades for horizontal axial wind turbines, having length (diameter) much larger than obtained with current technology. Current restrictions are primarily imposed by excessive increase of the bending moments at the base of the blade, due to aerodynamic forces and own blade weight that increase with the exterior diameter.</p> |
