A method and equipment for processing uplink synchronization are disclosed in the present invention, said method includes the following steps: network side determines the synchronization state or the loss of synchronization state of Component Carrier (CC) on a User Equipment (UE); when the CC is in a loss of synchronization state, said network side indicates the UE to deactivate the CC which is in a loss of synchronization state, and the UE receives the deactivation indication sent by the network side; said UE deactivates the CC which is in a loss of synchronization state according to the received deactivation indication. Application of the solution can solve the problem that electrical power consumption of the UE extremely increases because the UE needs to synchronously work on multiple carriers in a multi-carrier system, so as to save more power for UE, and extend the battery life.
