A main-rope for suspending an ascending/descending body is connected to a socket. At least either a ridge or a groove is provided as a socket-side engaging section on the outer periphery of the socket. The outer periphery of the socket is covered with an elastic covering body. A covering body-side engaging section engaging with the socket-side engaging section with the elastic covering body covering the outer periphery of the socket is formed on the inner periphery of the elastic covering body.
