The device has a drying tunnel (30) whose interior is filled with inert gas, where operation temperature is obtained by the drive of the drying tunnel. The inert gas from an inert gas reservoir (68) is fed to a gas exchange chamber (40) by a gas supply device (82). A vehicle body (14) is transported by an inlet gate (32), a drying tunnel (30) and a conveyor system (22). The gate includes a heating device by which atmosphere temperature is adjusted to chamber temperature, where the atmosphere temperature of the chamber is obtained, and is higher than temperature of outer normal atmosphere. The heating device is selected from one of heat exchanger, radiant heater and gas heater.
