The device has a fuel cell by which reaction energy of fuel i.e. hydrogen, and an oxidizing agent i.e. oxygen, are converted into electricity under formation of a reaction product i.e. water. Ball bearings (22, 24) are provided for moving, rotating and storing a component i.e. shaft (18), where the bearings are lubricated by the reaction product. The bearings are partially formed from a corrosion-resistant material and provided with an anti-corrosive coating. A separation element i.e. water trap, is provided such that a liquid component is separated from the reaction product. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle comprising an air supply device.
