Disclosed is a light-pointing device (30) provided with: a light source (16) that radiates light onto a subject (10); a cover section (24) that has a light-guide section (43) that reflects light reflected off of the subject (10) and guides said light internally; and an imaging element (15) that receives the light guided by the cover section (24). The cover section (24) is provided on the surface of the light-guide section (43) that includes the region that detects the subject (10) with: a light-source-light-reflecting coating (40) that reflects light radiated from the light source (16); and a color-specific reflective color coating (41) that reflects only the light of a predetermined wavelength band in the visible spectrum. The light-source-light-reflecting coating (40) is formed avoiding the region of the light-guide section (43) that detects the subject (10). As a result, a thin light-pointing device (30) having an arbitrary outside color that does not cause discomfort can be realized.
