<p>The method involves inserting and locking a cylinder head (10) in a holder (28) of a support element (26) that is rotated around an axis of rotation (D). The support element is rotated around the axis of rotation in a rotating direction at high speed for removing particles e.g. metallic chips, and/or liquid e.g. lubricant and coolant, at a surface of the cylinder head by centrifugal force. The cylinder head is subjected to cleaning medium (34) before and/or during a centrifuging process, and the rotating direction of the support element is changed during the cleaning process. An independent claim is also included for a cylinder head cleaning device comprising a support element rotated around an axis of rotation.</p> |
