The valve (1) has a pressure receiving portion (19) provided in a needle (7) such that the portion applies force on the needle in valve opening direction by fuel pressure that is supplied by a fuel chamber (35). The receiving portion brings force on the needle together with electromagnetic force of solenoids (9) in the valve opening direction such that a combination of the force is larger than arising force from pressing force for pressing a mobile core (12) and the needle to a seat surface (16) and friction drag force. The drag force is caused during movement in a valve opening process.
