An electro-chemical device for measuring the pH compensated concentration of chlorine in solution comprises a platinum electrode 32, sensitive to chlorine and pH, and an antimony electrode 33, sensitive to pH only, connected through leads 36, 37 respectively to an external circuit (not shown) so that the electrical effects due to pH at the two electrodes substantially cancel one another. The body 30 is made of a chemically inert, electrically insulating acetal resin and the cavity 34 is filled with an epoxy-amide resin to prevent ingress of solution. |
