DEVICE FOR REDUCING SAILBOAT HEELING

A device for reducing sailboat heeling is disclosed. The boat or catamaran or trimaran or canoe with sails has a casing for a leeboard (31), or an outer opening or device for assembling a leeboard that is profiled like an airplane wing. To sail close-hauled, the leeboard (31) has to be deployed before the maneuver. If the waves are big, you have to steer to heel towards the other side of the boat (32), then you deploy the leeboard (31) and then maneuver the sailboat to heel to the other side (30). If you already sail close-hauled before changing the side of the heel, the leeboard is deployed from the casing.
