The interconnection unit has a metal film staying in contact with a carrier film. Openings extend through the metal and carrier films. A circumference of each opening in the carrier film is larger than a circumference of each opening in the metal film. An insulation layer is provided on the metal film, contains solder resist and includes other openings, where the solder resist is based on acryl resin and epoxy resin. A circumference of each opening in the metal film is larger than a circumference of each opening in the insulation layer. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for rear side contacting of solar cells (2) a solar cell module comprising rear side contacted solar cells.
