The machine (1) has a lifting equipment (2) pivotable around a pivot axis (Z) and for lifting and lowering a load. A weighing device i.e. ISObus terminal, is provided for weighing the load, and has a sensor (7) at the lifting equipment for determining a parameter that contains an angular position of the lifting equipment. The sensor determines angular speed and/or angular acceleration of the lifting equipment, where operating range of the sensor covers a pivot range of the lifting equipment of 30 degrees. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining a load of a work machine.
