The method involves printing a recording medium (11) i.e. paper web, with control data of an image in a printing process, and processing the medium such that the medium and the printed image are deformed along a deformation axis. The medium is printed with control data of another image in another printing process, and data of raster graphics of one of the images is processed along an image processing axis of the graphics, where the images are printed with colors e.g. cyan, magenta, yellow and black. Source pixels are randomly selected from a source image transverse to the processing axis. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for correcting a register error in a printing process comprising a computer with computer program for controlling the register error (2) a computer program product for executing a method for correcting a register error of a printing process.
