摘要 <p>A technique was developed which can more conveniently generate bilayer vesicles having nearly the same measurements as somatic cells using a pressure-generating means that is cheaper than conventional vesicle-generating devices. Disclosed is a device that generates bilayer vesicles. The device that generates bilayer vesicles includes a plurality of structures that contain a main duct, a plurality of microchambers that open to said main duct, and an atrium that is adjacent to the aforementioned microchambers with a deformable wall therebetween. Further disclosed is a method for generating bilayer vesicles. The method for generating vesicles has a step wherein, by means of applying pressure to the aforementioned atrium while a layer of phase-separated fluid is suspended on the side-wall surface of the aforementioned microchambers, the aforementioned deformable walls deform in a manner so as to protrude into the aforementioned microchambers, pushing a first aqueous solution, and the aforementioned layer of phase-separated fluid is caused to expand so that the leading end of the aforementioned layer of phase-separated fluid enters the aforementioned main duct from the opening of the aforementioned microchambers.</p>
