<p>Provided is a photocatalytic structural body capable of efficiently causing a photocatalytic reaction. Also provided is a novel deodorization device employing the photocatalytic structural body. A purification plate (photocatalytic structural body) (10) is provided with: a substrate (11) on a surface of which structures (11a) each protruded and recessed are formed; and a photocatalytic film (13) arranged on one side of the substrate (11) and having a shape corresponding to the shapes of the protruded and recessed structures (11a), the one side having the protruded and recessed structures (11a). The protruded and recessed structures (11a) are formed with a pitch smaller than a wavelength of light with which the photocatalytic film (13) causes a photocatalytic reaction. With the incidence of light from the side having the substrate (11), substances to be purified which have been accumulated in an adsorption film (14) are purified through a photocatalytic reaction caused by the photocatalytic film (13), the light having a predetermined wavelength. Enhancement of the deodorization capability of a deodorization device is made possible by incorporating this purification plate (10) therein.</p> |
