<p>The disclosed method for manufacturing a propylene polymer uses a horizontal polymerisation reactor which is internally equipped with an agitator which rotates around the horizontal axis thereof. Propylene, or propylene and an a-olefin (excluding propylene) is/are polymerised in the presence of a catalyst by a continuous gas-phase polymerisation process which uses the heat of vaporization of liquefied propylene to remove the heat of reaction. A plurality of area divisions having different temperatures can be set in the reactor along the direction of the horizontal axis thereof, and at least condition (A) or condition (B) is satisfied. Condition (A): The temperature differential ? T1 (°C) (=T?-Ta) between the temperature (Ta) of the area division which includes the terminal on the upstream side of the reactor, and the temperature (T?) of the area division which includes the terminal on the downstream side of the reactor is 0.1-20°C. Condition (B): The temperature differential ? T2 (°C) (=Tx-Tz) between the temperature (Tx) of the area division which includes a catalyst supply section and the temperature (Tz) of the dew point of the gas mixture in the reactor is 0-5°C.</p> |
