Provided is an antibody which inhibits infection with hepatitis C virus (HCV). An anti-HCV antibody, which can inhibit infection with HCV by recognizing the entire three-dimensional structure, or a part thereof, of an HCV particle as an epitope and binding thereto so as to inhibit the binding of HCV to the surface of host cells, a humanized antibody of the same, and an HCV infection inhibitor are provided.
