A liquid crystal display device includes one pixel in a liquid crystal display section comprises a plurality of sub-pixels, and each of the plurality of sub-pixels being driven by a transistor connected with a signal line. The plurality of sub-pixels include a first red sub-pixel, a second green sub-pixel, and a third blue sub-pixel, and a fourth sub-pixel which includes a display auxiliary area. Voltage-transmittance characteristics on the display auxiliary pixel area are shifted to a higher voltage in comparison with a voltage of the first to the third sub-pixels. |
