Disclosed is an information processing device (1) that is provided with a main CPU (2) and a sub-CPU (3). The main CPU (2) is provided with a function for managing schedules of task processing and idle processing, and, as idle processing when task processing is not being performed, carries out sleep control for reducing power consumption of the main CPU (2). The sub-CPU (3) measures the amount of time that has elapsed during execution of the sleep control, detects interrupt events that occur during execution of the sleep control, and notifies the main CPU (2) of the amount of time that had elapsed until the time of occurrence of the interrupt event. The main CPU (2) ends the sleep control in response to the notification of the elapsed time, and causes the amount of elapsed time to be reflected in the schedule. As a result, an information processing device is provided whereby it is possible to resolve an offset of a timer caused by the sleep control, and to use the scheduler function correctly even if the sleep control is performed.
